Time to make: 5-10 minutes
Ingredients
- 10-12 fresh mint leaves
- ½ lime, cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons white sugar (or agave)
- 2dl of ice cubes
- 0,5 dl white rum
- Sparkling water
Place mint leaves and one lime wedge into a thick glass. Use a muddler to crush the mint and lime to release the mint oils and lime juice. If you don’t have a muddler, you can use any kitchen utensil such as the end of a wooden spoon to crush the ingredients. Add two more lime wedges and the sugar or agave, and muddle again to release the lime juice. Do not strain the mixture. Once you are done with mixing the ingredients, fill the glass almost to the top with ice. Pour the rum over the ice, and fill the glass with sparkling water. Stir, taste, and add more sugar if desired. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge. Enjoy!
Tips:
Mojitos become even more refreshing when you muddle in a few chunks of peeled cucumber, or simply add strips of cucumber to garnish.
You can also make it non-alcoholic by simply leaving out the rum. Delicious and healthy!
